Network Tester

LinkRunner® 100G

Install, validate, and troubleshoot high-speed Ethernet — from 25G to 100G — with total confidence.

LinkRunner 100G is a handheld tester that quickly validates high-speed fiber links. With one-button testing, any technician can identify faults across the fiber, optics, and network settings—in minutes.

  • One button, one plain answer: good, or here’s the fault
  • Sees all four light streams separately, not one averaged number
  • QSFP28 Inspector reads the optic and its FEC settings
  • No fiber specialist required — any technician can run it

* SFP28 and SFP+ support requires an appropriate QSFP28 adapter.

Key Features

100G testing. Finally within reach.

AutoTest: press one green button

In seconds, AutoTest verifies the connected switch port and its configuration, validates link speed and key network services, giving you immediate clarity and confidence.

Proof of Performance, Not Assumptions¹

Validate true capacity and quality of transmission end-to-end, with measurable, repeatable Layer 3 performance results, so your network delivers what it promises.

Real-World Validation of QSFP28 Optics

Test with the same optics and transceivers your production network uses, for true end-to-end verification with zero deployment surprises.

QSFP28 Insights

Automatically detects and validates module type, speed, FEC settings, and interface configuration across 25G, 40G, 50G, and 100G optics single-mode, multi-mode, trunks, LC breakouts, and MTP/MPO links, so you know exactly how every module is set to operate.
NetAlly’s expert system reads your test results and returns plain-language root-cause analysis and next steps— so less time goes into interpreting data and more into closing the ticket.
Automatically centralizes, documents, and shares every test result for complete team visibility.
Why speed changes everything

100G isn't a faster 10G. It's a different beast.

100G fiber used to live only in data centers. Now it’s in hospitals, on factory floors and in enterprise cores — and it doesn’t behave like 10G. A 100G link isn’t one fast connection; it’s four data streams that work together as one, and a fault in any one of them takes down all four.

There's no warning

Error correction absorbs the damage for weeks or months, with the link light green and the switch reporting zero errors. Then it runs out. It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s fine, it’s gone.

It doesn't half-work

A 10G link can degrade and still carry multi-gig speeds. A 100G link doesn’t step down to 75G. Because all four streams have to stay in step, the fault only has to be in one of them.

Old instincts don't apply

Swap the cable, check duplex — none of that covers what actually goes wrong at these speeds. FEC mismatches, optic types and per-lane light levels are invisible to the switch.

It's carrying everything

The fast link in the middle of the building is no longer a specialty item. It’s the shared backbone behind hundreds of users, devices and systems — with consequences a 1G or 10G link never had.
