Introduction
If you encounter the “No Valid License Detected” error in AirMagnet Survey Pro, Survey Express, or Planner, it means your software cannot start without a valid license file. This guide explains how to identify, download, and install the correct license.
What is a Valid License?
A valid license file:
- Has a .LIC extension (e.g.,
A4018-12345678.lic) - Matches your adapter’s MAC address
- Includes a VERSIONCONTROL number higher than the installed build
- Contains a signature key that cannot be edited
When Do You Need a New License?
- MAC address reset or adapter change
- Initial installation
- Installation on a new device
- Upgrade from an older version
How to Obtain a License
Option 1: In-Product Licensing
- Open the application and click OK when “No License Found” appears
- Select Download License and click Next
- Enter your product serial number and key
- Choose the correct adapter from the dropdown
- Click Next to download and activate the license
Option 2: Download from My AirMagnet Account
- Log in to My AirMagnet
- Navigate to Registered Products / Downloads
- Download the license for your product serial number
- Copy the file to
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AirMagnet Inc\\AirMagnet Surveyor - Launch the software
