How to Remotely Access EtherScope nXG Using VNC Connection and Settings

You can remotely access your EtherScope nXG using a VNC client connection. While VNC can be established over Wired or Wi-Fi Test Ports, using the Management Ports provides the most stable connection.

Find Your EtherScope nXG IP Address

The quickest way to locate the assigned IP address is through top notifications:

  • Swipe down from the Status Bar to view IP details.

Configure EtherScope nXG for VNC Access

Follow these steps to enable VNC remote access:

1.  Access General Settings from the menu bar in any NetAlly application.

2. Tap VNC to open the VNC settings screen.

  • Wired Management Port: Plug an Ethernet cable with an active network connection into the left-side RJ-45 Management Port.

  • Wi-Fi Management Port: Configure the main Android Wi-Fi settings to connect to a wireless network.

3.  Configure VNC settings:

  • Allow VNC Connections: Toggle to enable or disable remote access.

  • Port Number: Enter a custom port if needed.

  • Password: Set a password for secure VNC access.

  • Web Viewer: Toggle to enable or disable browser-based access.

  • Web Viewer Port: Enter a custom port if required.

Connect to EtherScope nXG via VNC Client

  1. Install a VNC application on your PC (e.g., TightVNC).
  2. Get the IP address of the desired management port.
  3. Enter the IP address in the VNC client and connect.

4. If prompted, enter the password configured in VNC settings.
