The LinkRunner AT 3000 is designed for frontline technicians who need fast and comprehensive validation of copper and fiber network links with powerful network connectivity troubleshooting. While offering the same core functions of its predecessors (LinkRunner AT 1000 and 2000 models), the LinkRunner AT 3000 features a large touchscreen and in-depth AutoTest that provides deeper network visibility.

Benefits:
With tools designed to help with network changes and troubleshooting, this network tester’s quick cable test and switch identification functionality facilitates installation validation and fast problem isolation.

“The latest LinkRunner AT from NetAlly upgrades this very handy product line in all the right ways – from support for the latest PoE standards and switch interfaces to rework of the user interface for ultra-effectiveness, the reasons to invest or upgrade are many. The app store integration means each tester is customizable far beyond NetAlly’s already-impressive feature set and allows for adding a wide range of capabilities for the technician or engineer using it. NetAlly has a knack for reading the market and delivering the right solution as networks evolve.”

Facilitating comprehensive verification of network links, the AutoTest feature on the network connectivity tester allows you to customize and save different test profiles for varied network scenarios. Key functionalities include:

  • Rapid Results: Conduct tests in under 7 seconds
  • PoE Performance Testing: Verifies loaded PoE configurations up to 90W
  • Comprehensive Checks: Covers everything from link speed and duplex to DNS response times and VLAN traffic analysis

This function diagrams the connection to the nearest switch, providing critical configuration data:

  • Essential Switch Info: Displays comprehensive details including names, models, VLAN support, and PoE capabilities
  • Graphical PoE Details: Offers visual representation of PoE power distribution on cable pairs

The network cable tester with report validates cable integrity, performs detailed wiremapping, and efficiently troubleshoots using:

  • Cable Status Indicators: Identify and locate opens, shorts, miswires, and more
  • Structured and Patch Cable Testing: Dedicated ports for thorough testing and fault location
  • Locate Cable Runs: Using toning, switch port advertisement, light blinking, and remote cable identifiers

Ensuring network device reachability and service availability through:

  • Ping and TCP Connection Tests: Allows for ping tests or TCP port connectivity assessments
  • Detailed Trend Analysis: Aids in monitoring connectivity over time and identifying intermittent network issues

While cable certification is used to ensure installation compliance with industry standards, and cable qualification is used to check if the infrastructure can support specific technologies (multi-gig Ethernet, VoIP, etc.), LANBERT testing is used to evaluate real-world network performance using actual traffic patterns. It offers insights into operational performance rather than compliance and capability.

When used with another LANBERT-compatible NetAlly-tester, LANBERT Media Qualification app generates and measures the transmission of line rate Ethernet frames over your network cabling infrastructure, qualifying its ability to support 1G on fiber and 10M/100M/1G on copper links in order to determine the maximum error-free bandwidth, possibly preventing costly and unnecessary cabling upgrades.
