Content Creator

Roles and Responsibilities:

Most of what NetAlly’s audience sees today is written for a buyer. This role is for the technician — the person actually holding the device, troubleshooting at 2am, scrolling YouTube or TikTok between jobs for the tool or trick that saves them an hour. You’ll build the video and case-study library that speaks directly to that person: real fixes, real field stories, real personality, with enough genuine networking chops that practitioners trust you on sight, not just enough to read a script. This is not a brand-safe corporate video role. We want someone with a point of view, a following or the instinct to build one, and the technical credibility to back it up.

What You’ll Own

  • Plan, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form video: field demos, troubleshooting walk-throughs, Ally Intelligence in action, “day in the life of a network tech” style content
  • Own the case study pipeline end to end: identify candidate customers, conduct interviews, and turn raw stories into polished written and video case studies
  • Build and run a personality-driven content presence aimed at working network technicians — the channels and tone should feel native to where that audience already spends time (YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, technician forums), not repurposed corporate content
  • Develop relationships with networking influencers, YouTubers, and respected voices in the field/IT technician community; manage any creator partnerships or sponsorships
  • Partner with the existing Designer/Social hire so static creative and video/influencer content feel like one coherent voice, not two disconnected efforts
  • Bring genuine networking subject-matter expertise to content decisions — know enough about real troubleshooting work to spot a good story and ask the right follow-up questions in an interview
  • Track content performance (views, engagement, follower growth, and downstream influence on pipeline/awareness) and iterate based on what actually resonates with this audience

What Success Looks Like

  • A growing library of video content and case studies that field technicians actually watch, share, and reference — not just content that exists
  • Measurable growth in social/video following and engagement among the network technician audience specifically, not just general impressions
  • At least one or two recognizable creator or influencer relationships that lend NetAlly real credibility in technician communities
  • Sales and channel partners start asking for this content because it’s working, not because they were told to use it
  • The case-study library expands meaningfully, including filling the current U.S.-specific proof point gap

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Video Production, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience creating video and digital content
  • Proficiency with professional video production and editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, or similar software.
  • Experience with photography, lighting, audio recording, and on-location video production.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for technical content, case studies, video scripts, social media, and campaign copy
  • Experience analyzing content performance using analytics platforms and applying insights to improve engagement and business impact.

Preferred Skills:

  • Real, hands-on networking knowledge — you don’t need to have been a network engineer, but you need to understand the work well enough that practitioners don’t sniff out a fraud in the first ten seconds
  • A demonstrated passion for both the craft of networking and the craft of content — we’re looking for someone who’d be doing some version of this even if it weren’t a job
  • Video production skills: shooting and editing short-form and long-form content; comfortable being on camera or directing someone who is
  • Experience building or growing a social/video following, ideally in a technical, trades, or enthusiast community — personal portfolio or channel strongly preferred over agency-only experience
  • Comfortable interviewing customers and technicians and turning a rambling conversation into a tight, compelling story
  • A point of view. We’d rather see one polarizing, well-produced video than ten safe ones.

Nice to Have

  • An existing personal following or community standing among network/IT technicians
  • Experience with live streaming, Twitch-style content, or community-building beyond one-way video
  • Familiarity with NetAlly-class handheld test tools or competitive products from real field use, not just marketing materials
