Statement of Volatility
Clearing a Network Identity from a
OneTouch AT Network Assistant

The OneTouch AT Network Assistant incorporates volatile and non-volatile memory. Volatile memory is memory whose contents are lost when power is removed. Non-volatile memory is memory whose contents are retained when power is removed. Both memory types can be sanitized to remove data previously stored in memory. The sanitation processes for each memory type are provided.

Volatile Memory

Memory type Size User modifiable Function
Module SDRAM 512MB Yes Module program execution and data storage
Module Processor Internal RAM 64KB No Measurement data storage
Platform SDRAM 256MB Yes Platform program execution and data storage

Process to sanitize:
Remove battery and all power for at least 60 seconds.

Non-Volatile Memory

Memory type Size User modifiable Function
Module NAND Flash 1GB Yes Module program and data storage
Module Internal SD Card 2GB Yes User data, reports, profiles, screen shots, certificates, etc.
Platform Internal SD Card 2GB Yes Platform program and data storage

Process to sanitize:
1. Connect the ac adapter to the OneTouch AT
2. On the HOME screen, tap the TOOLS icon
3. Scroll down to the Maintenance Tools section
4. Tap Factory Defaults
5. Tap the Full button

The procedure may take as long as 30 minutes to complete. Do not interrupt the process while it is in progress. Requires version 2.0 software or later.

Non-Volatile Media

Memory type Size User modifiable Function
SD Card on module Variable Yes Capture storage and data transfer
USB Device Variable Yes Flash storage or keyboard/mouse connectivity

Process to sanitize:
Cover the port with evidence tape to ensure media devices are not used. If media is present, destroy storage media or perform multiple overwrites.
